Summer Daydream is a replica of a photo album I found when I visited Cuba last summer.
I’m looking back at spaces I’ve been to, people involved at the time, and how does that shaped the individual I am today.
Each page re-creates a moment from a journey using textiles, old clothes, and hand-stitching technique.
These photographs are memory patches that I will always look back to whenever I feel lost about my identity.
Therefore, my piece aims to convey the message that self is not a single image, but a collage of fragments held in tension and harmony.
